Reflections
With a lot of new people here, we thought we’d introduce ourselves again, and our goals for Logging Off Club…
Born out of a conversation with friends on our way to a girls’ trip in Cornwall for Adele’s 25th birthday, Logging Off Club started as a rant (like all good ideas women have). As we each compared the ways we try to reclaim our attention from mindless scrolling, whether using blocking apps, switching to a dumb phone or deleting accounts altogether, we realised that despite being part of the ‘digital’ generation, we’re just as exhausted as everyone else. So we decided to do something about it, and seek out other people who are feeling the same way, to build out space and time in our lives offline to centre deep and meaningful connection.
We all spend so much time on “social” media, but most of us feel lonelier than ever before. The constant noise of infinite feeds leave us feeling depleted and overwhelmed, as real connection gets replaced with digital interactions. From the rise of remote work and online dating, to the decline of community centres and third spaces, our digital lives have left us more isolated and craving community.
Logging Off Club aims to bring people together offline to reconnect, reflect and try new things. It’s a space to feel more present, connect with others and rekindle your curiosity. Whether you regularly take digital detoxes or you’re sick of spending all your spare time scrolling, Logging Off Club offers a space for us to embrace the offline.
Through our curated newsletters, we’ll share all the (OFFLINE) ways we’ve been pursuing connection, creativity and wellness in the past month. Our in-person events will invite you to join exclusive sessions that deepen your relationship with our core values; connection, creativity and wellness. Subscribe to join Logging Off Club and come back to life.
Our HQLT this month
(high-quality-leisure-time)
ADELE:
Clearing out my book collection, going for walks without my phone, swimming in the sea, sunbathing in the garden, solo brunch at Idlehands, playing in the garden with my niece and nephew, playing Articulate with my besties, Buzzballs on the beach.
INDIA:
Holiday reads, lying on the beach, going to my grandma’s for breakfast, making Adele’s birthday cake, harvesting veg from my allotment, playing cards, looking at all my new houseplant growth while I’ve been away.
OUR SUBSCRIBERS:
Repotting and tending to my tomato plants. Finished a jigsaw puzzle. A lot more walking, preparing for my 87 mile trail in July. Going to my boyfriend’s mum’s to cook and play dominoes. Finished knitting a bag. Enjoying the beautiful wild flowers. Writing letters to a retired colleague. Went to a silver ring making workshop. Enjoying some rainy days as it reminds me to slow down and rest and I love knowing the plants and wildlife will thrive and come alive (there was such a dry spell that plants/grass were starting to dry up and look brown).

Where we’re walking
This month a group of our friends attempted to walk Seven Sisters (hungover might we add). After a sweaty hike up to the first sister, we stopped for a picnic of our walk snacks instead, but it was still a beautiful day.
If you’re in Sussex, you can get the train to Seaford and a short bus to Seven Sisters Country Park, or the 12 Bus from Brighton.
